Silicone grips on my pen
I finally found a way to stop the Apple Pencil nib from wearing out. I have now attached a $5 grip to the pen.
The cross section of the pencil is not circular, there is one flat side to it. I hold the pen with my finger on that surface. So the nib was shaved only at one fixed point.
But what if the pen has an additional grip? I can now grip the pen at different angles. This distributed the wear of the nib.
In Japan, these nib replacements cost 3,000 yen for four. The purchase of the grips was a good decision.
New Illustration
I submitted one new illustration this week.
With this illustration, I feel that I have now summarized my current method of drawing color illustrations. I would like to summarize the whole process of how to draw once again in my blog.
Looking Back
I look back at the review notes I keep for each illustration I do. Now, is there anything in these notes that would be useful to read over now?
This illustration was created by request. This illustration was created by request. The request was for her performing a special move in a game.
This illustration was created by request. The request was for her performing a special move in a game. The special move spans several shots, so I had to figure out which moment to capture. And I am happy with my choice. My drawing of this toe of smoke and the electricity effect coming out is well done.
I applied dark green to the back of the hair and the back of the scarf and skirt. This is a kind of inner-color expression, which makes the front and back sides of the body clear. It also gives a suspicious look. It also made the dark screen pop. However, in “Kemono Friends” the animals are very important to the story. As for the “Kemono Friends” fan art, some people might have questions about this color. There is no place to say what the source of this color is or where it comes from.
In Japanese, the toes of birds are called “趾(ashiyubi)”. This is a word I had never heard of in ordinary life. I came across this unusual word when I was writing this note. It has nothing to do with the illustration, but isn't it instructive?
